At the same clinic I saw a man very disappointed.
He was complaining about the error on his Covid certificate. He claimed if he can not flight tomorrow, he will miss his visa interview at an embassy.
Later at night I encountered this same man at the hotel I was staying.
He happened to stay at the same place.

He was crying.
He said
“They screwed me again. They spelled my name wrongly again. Now the clinic is closed. My flight is early next morning. I can’t fly”

I couldn’t say a word to him...

Covid test said to have a lot of false positives and negatives.
Over this test, many get into trouble, many cries, at the same time industry make a lot of money.

コロナPCR検査を巡って繰り広げられる沢山のドラマ

もうすぐパナマを離れます。
私が同行させて頂いていた戦争特派員のチャック・ホルトン氏とマイケル・ヨン氏は新たな調査の為に先に出発しました。

「新しい生活様式」は様々なトラブルを引き起こしています。今やほとんどどの国に飛ぶにもコロナの検査を受けなければならなくなっています。
今回私達は即結果の出るPCR検査を受けました。
結果は昨日メールで届くはずでしたが、なんと届きませんでした。

お二人の飛行機は早朝出発便で危うく乗り損なうところでした。なんとか空港で再検査をし飛行機には乗れたのですが、そこは流石元特殊部隊の二人、どんな状況でも乗り切ります。

私はクリニックに証明書を受け取りに行くことにしました。
事情を聴いたスタッフは直ぐにミスを認め料金の返金を申し出てくれました。
結果的に検査結果は即日受け取ることはできませんでしたが、このミスの対応が納得のいくものだったので気分を損なう事はありませんでした。
自分の過ちは即認め、誠実に対応する事の大事さを体験しました。

私がアルメニアでPCR検査を受けた時、証明書の私の名前のスペルが間違っていた事があり、クリニックで訂正をしなければいけないことが過去にありました。
その時、受付でたいそうご立腹の男性を見かけました。

その男性も証明書の記述に誤りがあるとしてクレームを入れていました。
「もし明日飛行機に乗れなければ私は大使館で予約しているビザの面接を受けれなくなってしまう」と深刻に話していました。

その後、ホテルに戻った時ロビーで先程の男性を見かけました。どうやら同じホテルに宿泊していたようなのですが、よく見るとその男性は泣き顔なのです。

「また彼らは間違いを起こした。また私の名前のスペルを間違えた。クリニックはもう閉まっているし、私の飛行機は明日早朝だ。飛行機に乗れない、、」

私は返す言葉がありませんでした。

コロナの検査結果はその正確性が問われており、陽性陰性の結果が誤って出されることが頻繁にあると言われています。

このテストを巡って沢山の人々がトラブルに巻き込まれ、涙を流します。そして同時に医療界は巨額の富を得ています。

いつまで私達は「新しい生活様式」に振り回されるのでしょうか。
